Description

Smart card readers provides secure access (for authorized Users) to the system with use of PKI technology (Public Key Infrastructure). They work in accordance with PC/SC and ISO 7816 standards. They are dedicated to use of microprocessor crypto cards.

Depending on the destination, there are following versions of smart card readers:

• ruggedized - they are elements of the Network Centric Data Communication Platform JASMINE dedicated to cooperate with mobile (battlefield) ICT devices, e.g. tactical terminals and servers. These versions of smart card readers are ruggedized devices designed to operate in harsh military environments (that meets high military standards e.g. anti-shock, climatic and environmental);
• stationary (external / internal) - they are elements of the Integrated Data Transmission Nodes KTSA dedicated to cooperate with stationary ICT devices, e.g. PC workstations and and servers..

All above versions of smart card readers can also operate as a stand-alone solutions and they can work independently.
